Justin Wiesenfeld
Hola! I’m Justin, Texas native, half Filipino, and Mexico City obsessed. I’ve worked remotely for tech start-ups throughout the past decade and after several years of devouring bbq and tacos in Austin and a few years knee deep in sushi and ramen in Tokyo, I fully embraced the digital nomad lifestyle. I’ve traveled extensively throughout most countries in Asia-Pac, LATAM and Europe but have always found myself returning to Mexico City, like a moth to the flame.

Mexico City is a gem, not necessarily hidden, but certainly, one that is waiting to be discovered by so many more people. That’s where I come in. I want to help with that. I want folks to see what makes Mexico City so special through my eyes. It's food, architecture, people, culture and history, and weather. It's comfortable, it's exciting. It's why I chose CDMX as my permanent home base.

Throughout my life, I’ve been happiest when sitting on a plastic stool and slurping pho in Hanoi, people-watching in cafes in Paris, sipping pints in London pubs, sniffing wine in bars in Madrid, soaking in onsens in Japan, listening to jazz in New Orleans, and of course, scarfing tacos on street corners and sampling many ‘copitas’ of mezcal in cantinas in Mexico City.

Shawn Leamon
Hey there! I'm Shawn Leamon, but you can call me "El Rey de Polanco", a fun little nickname that I earned because of my fondness for the Polanco neighborhood in Mexico City. My love for this vibrant city runs deep—I've visited Mexico City more than a dozen times, with my longest stay stretching to over a full month. But sometimes, I just can't help but pop over for a weekend, eager to dive back into the life and culture of this place that I hold so close to my heart.

When it comes to travel - over 30 countries and hundreds of cities have been ticked off my list, but no matter how many places I see, Mexico City easily holds its spot among my favorites.

You might notice me in a crowd, and not just because I'm a 6'1", 195-pound black guy who tends to stand out in Mexico City. My enthusiasm for exploring every nook and cranny of the city, from the hidden gems to the most famous landmarks, is hard to miss. Despite not originally speaking Spanish very well, my love for the city encouraged me to improve and now I'm much more fluent.

I'm an absolute fanboy of Mexico City and I can't wait to show you why. From the humble yet scrumptious street food and taquerias, to the world-class fine dining, this city has a culinary experience for every taste. Whether you're living, visiting, exploring, or just passing through, I believe there's something in Mexico City for everyone to fall in love with. Looking forward to being your guide on this amazing journey!
